Subs’ tactics unchanged for Alice clash

- Vuyokazi Nkanjeni

MOTHERWELL side Subs will be looking to continue their winning ways when they play JB Milan FC in an ABC Motsepe soccer clash at Fort Hare University in Alice on Sunday (3pm).

Subs have had two consecutive wins since newly appointed coach Garth Dickinson took over.

After they beat Kokstad Liverpool 1-0, club chairman Bhongo Zondani said they would not change their approach to Milan.

“Last weekend, we defended for the first 45 minutes and did not attack,” he said. “In the second half the coach told the players to go out and attack.

“We heard that Milan had signed new players we are not familiar with, so they are a closed book to us. We cannot take them for granted.

“If we keep the same performance we will be able to beat them.”

Top Bay club Highbury play a crucial match against log-leaders Mthatha Bucks away at Rotary Stadium tomorrow.

Highbury are third on the log with 48 points from 23 games. Bucks team manager Lunga Tukuti said the game was a big one for his side.

“Highbury are third on the log. A win against them will eliminate the competition,” he said.

“We are playing at home and we would like to keep our clean sheet.”
