Airshow can reach for the Sky in Windsor handicap

-

- Airshow can put on a winning display today in the Sky Bet Top Price Promise Handicap at Windsor.

Rod Millman's charge boasts a higher all-weather rating than his turf mark and appears more than capable of taking advantage of that judged on his recent narrow second place at Newmarket.

His stats on artificial surfaces are impressive, winning two of his three starts, but after finishing just a short head behind Prevent at Headquarters, he is clearly no back number on grass.

Airshow tried to do it the hard way that day and was only eventually headed in the final stride, offering plenty of optimism for the rest of the summer.

The handicapper has jacked up his perch a little in the interim, but a mark of 84 still gives Millman something to work with.

Jus Pires hit the bar at this track at the beginning of the month and can step up on that in the Sky Bet Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap.

Making his first start of the campaign, and his inaugural outing after a gelding operation, Jus Pires found Team Decision just over a length too good after failing to really find his rhythm.

He likely just needed the outing and Jeremy Noseda's runners are now starting to come into form.

Regina Pacis has been found a good opportunity by Roger Charlton in the Sky Bet Racing Cash Out Fillies' Handicap.

A maiden winner at Newcastle in March, she found bigmoney recruit Aim Of Artemis too good in a novice heat at Newmarket last time and this looks an easier assignment on the face of it.

Crownthorpe is the pick in the Parkdean Resorts Glasgow Fair Handicap at Ayr after running a fair race in defeat at York on his latest start.

Up against some unexposed rivals on the Knavesmire, he stuck on at the death over 2000m but might well be better switched back to 1600m here as his best runs have come around that distance.

Buccaneers Vault ran well when third in Ireland recently and can be relied on to put up a good show in the David Chapman Memorial Handicap at Ripon.

Light My Fire impressed when making a winning racecourse bow and can follow up in the second division of the mymedsuk.com Novice Auction Stakes at Wolverhampton.

She travelled really well on soft ground that day so it is easy to see why Tom Dascombe switches to the all-weather here.-
