Congratulations to Black Leopards for the fighting spirit they displayed in winning the NFD/PSL play-offs thus gaining promotion to the Premier League. Your supporters as well played their part. All the best in the bigger league with the big boys. Rudolf

The Bafana Bafana crisis now needs new tactics. They can’t keep choking in Cosafa. Baxter has run out of ideas and even Shakes was better than him. Malwela

What an embarrassment by Baxter and Bafana. They keep disappointing where you expect them to do well. Bafana should’ve killed off the game in the first half. Pimu

Platinum Stars got a chance to win back their PSL place but they dismally shied away from it. Congratulations again to Lidoda

Duvha for their promotion to the elite league. You worked hard and you deserve it. G

It’s so disappointing that Bafana Bafana crashed out of the 2018 Cosafa Cup in our very own back yard. There’s no amount of justification for this. We’re being deprived of joy as supporters. No World Cup, nothing for us. Godfrey

Hlompho Kekana deserved the Goal-of-the-Season award. Safa failed us while Fifa nominated Hlompho’s goal in the top-10 two seasons ago. Fairness please. Irvin Moshidi

The problem why our national team and clubs battle to score goals is simply due to the fact that they like passing around at the back. We will never win. YM Chabalala

This season’s play-offs went on very well, without controversial decisions by referees. Referees need to up their game and we need more of them representing us in the World Cup. Sali

Pitso Mosimane is conquering Mzansi football by continuing to win awards. He deserved the Coach-of-the-Season award. He inspires the upcoming coaches. Mpompi The automatic relegation of Ajax Cape Town has really left a bitter taste in the mouths of many SA followers. The way it was handled showed that there’s a lot that our administrators must still learn. Ajax must show strength and bounce back just like Highlands Park. Ntebaleng

Congrats to Percy Tau for winning the most important awards – Player-of-the-Season and Players’ Player-of-the-Season at the PSL awards. The lion king really reigned. Rethabile

Nyiko Mobbie of Free State Stars has established himself as one of the most consistent players at Ea Lla Koto. He put in solid displays for Stars in their Ke Yona triumph. That’s why he was nominated for the Nedbank Cup’s most Promising Player Award. Rembuane

Are Chiefs for real? No coach and no major signing till now. This simply means no forward thinking and no long term planning. Look at Madrid, they will have a coach by next Friday. Bheki Sibeko

I rate what Zinedine did like what Rosberg did in Formula One – plain cowardice. What about the players, the fans and everybody connected with Madrid and soccer, Zizou? Just tell us the truth. Bheki

As the saying goes Lidoda Duvha, meaning “The day will come”. Congratulations Leopards, you’ve shown class and character, you deserve to be in the elite league.

Frank Pienaar

We welcome Black Leopards in the PSL. Their home ground Thohoyandou looks like the next soccer disaster. Crowd attendance is appreciated but it looks like stadium capacity is overlooked. Something needs to be done. Shepherd

Our beautiful game is full of mysteries. Zidane quits just days after leading Real Madrid to a record third Champions League. Komphela had to be pressured to resign after three trophyless seasons at Chiefs. Boetman

I would like to congratulate Black Leopards for their promotion. To Platinum Stars, I feel no pity you failed to perform in the field of play. To the PSL, scrap the playoffs, they’re unfair to NFD teams. Sabelo

History is the study of the past compared to the future, which means that there’s no future without the past. So, I would like to say thank you Dr Irvin Khoza for honouring Mr Bantu Holomisa with the Chairman’s Award while he’s still alive. Some of us didn’t know the role he played during the formation of the then NSL. Mduduzi Mhlongo

For the first time in the history of the Premiership, Limpopo will be represented by three teams. I just hope this time Black Leopards won’t change coaches like socks and won’t make wholesale changes. They must keep the majority of the players that helped promote the team. The team needs to be proudly Limpopo & give chances to local youngsters. Mokoka

Truth be told, Pitso Mosimane is the best coach this country has ever produced. In five full seasons he spent at Sundowns, he won the league three times & came second twice. Tente M

In the nomination for Goal-ofthe-Season there are no headed goals, ground shots, penalties, what do the judges need? Thila (Ed: You wanted to see a penalty nominated for Goal-of-the-Season? I’m confused.)

Contrary to other people’s ideas about the play-offs, I see them as a very good test for teams who should stay in the Premiership. The work rate we see in the three teams currently participating is very good for tough performances in the top league. Modiri Moroka

What an awful effort from Bafana Bafana to fail to beat Madagascar in the Cosafa Cup. It just shows you exactly why they will not be at the World Cup in Russia, they are so overrated Sipho

I really hope Mohamed Salah is fully fit for the World Cup. Africa needs him to do well at the competition, I hope he can fire Egypt all the way to the quarterfinals. Let’s get four African teams in the quarterfinals this time around. Ben

Congratulations to Black Leopards for making the Absa Premiership. They did well to win the play-offs and it will be interesting to see now if they can stay up. I can’t see Ajax succeeding in their court bid, I think they must prepare for the NFD and stop wasting money. Rob

I can’t wait for the World Cup to start. It is always a competition where even people who have no interest in football, they watch the beautiful game just for one month. My favourites to win are France, Germany and Brazil. Sam

Chiefs really need to hurry up and appoint a coach. Otherwise they will spend another campaign staring with jealousy at Sundowns or Wits, or even Pirates, while their trophy cabinet remains dusty. Tebogo
