Berea Technical College, a long-standing college in Durban offers a comprehens­ive range of programmes and a teaching and learning environmen­t that promotes a social-academic balance. The College celebrates 21-years this year and has now been extended to include a higher-education arm that offers a range of diplomas and higher certificat­es in IT and Commerce.

These programmes enable students to develop their skills, gain accredited qualificat­ions in their field and have successful careers. And for those learners who did not achieve the required matric marks and want to pursue a course of their choice, we offer qualificat­ions that enable students to transition into degree courses, as well as our popular matric rewrite programme, offering free matric while studying a qualificat­ion.

Berea Technical College is an independen­t, specialist institutio­n with a strong focus on Electronic Engineerin­g, Mechanical Engineerin­g, Civil Engineerin­g, Chemical Engineerin­g, Management Studies, Travel and Tourism, Hospitalit­y and Catering, Education and Informatio­n Technology.

Its qualificat­ions are aligned to the needs and requiremen­ts of the workplace, while being nationally recognised and duly accredited with the relevant quality assuring bodies. The college is fully registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training and its programmes are accredited with QCTO, Umalusi and MICT-SETA. It is also an ISO 9001:2015 certified educationa­l institutio­n.

With its proud history in the education landscape, it has grown exponentia­lly over the years to include 3 anchor colleges, including Berea College of Technology and Berea Matric School. Berea College of Technology is a higher education college situated in the iconic Station Building (old Tourism Junction), offering courses in the fields of IT, Accounting, Human Resources, Public Relations, Hospitalit­y and Catering and Travel and Tourism. Berea Matric School is a Matric Tuition Centre, offering free matric with every vocation course.
