Meet at the upper parking level of Watercrest Mall (141 Inanda Road) at 1.30pm (note earlier time). Street walking and through grasslands to look out over Inanda Dam. Directions: Hillcrest off-ramp, right and turn right at first traffic lights to Ashley Drive and right at first driveway. An interesting hike with tea and cream scones afterwards. Karate
TRY some Goju Ryu Karate-Doh, martial art classes (Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate) for adults, juniors and children. Venue: KenkyuKai Dojo off Ridge Road on the Berea. Start: Tuesday and Thursday evenings for adults, the Bechet High School Hall on Saturday morning for juniors. This is not sport karate, but traditional martial arts. All classes are led by Okinawan-trained and graded instructor, Buddy Govender Kyoshi (7th Dan). Park Run
JOIN running enthusiasts every Saturday for a 5km Park Run in Durban absolutely free, at Suncoast Casino Promenade, Battery Beach Road, Durban, 4025. The North Beach parkrun takes place at 8am. Other parkruns include the uMhlanga (12.3km), Toti (27.6) and Shongweni (28.6). Don’t forget your paper barcode.
