Medipost Holdings has appointed Dr Victor Ramathesele as CEO.

Dr Ramathesele has an MB ChB from the University of Natal (now the University of KwaZuluNatal), an MPhil in sports medicine from the University of Cape Town and completed the Management Advancement Programme at the Wits Business School. He has worked in the public and private sectors, and held senior managerial positions in the pharmaceuticals, medical technology, wellness and health-consulting industries. He was the chief medical officer for the 2010 Fifa World Cup and has worked at the Stop TB Partnership.

AECI has appointed Rochelle Gabriels as group CFO and a group board executive director. She takes over from Rafael Fernandes, who served as acting group CFO since April 2023.

Gabriels has more than 15 years of senior finance experience and has held various executive roles, including CFO positions at multinational companies. She joins AECI from Imperial (a DP World company), where she served as the Sub-Saharan Africa head of finance logistics and shared services.

AECI board chair Khotso Mokhele said: “On behalf of the board, I am excited to welcome Rochelle to the group and we are confident that AECI will benefit from her strong leadership and deep financial experience.”

Niel Coetzee has been appointed as a member of the executive at redPanda Software, a retail software development company.

He joined the company in 2019 and was promoted to senior development manager in 2020. In November 2022 he was again promoted, to head of engineering, his current title. He said: “The most exciting part of this promotion is having a seat at the table to promote one of my primary responsibilities of internal and external technical messaging. The head of engineering assists the executive committee with delivering the business strategy by heading up the technical competence of the organisation and enabling efficient engineering practices.”
