● Services, trading and distribution group Bidvest has appointed BonangMohale chair. Eric Diack, who filled the position temporarily, will revert to lead independent director.
Mohale, who has been a nonexecutive director of Bidvest since July, is a professor of practice in the Johannesburg Business School.
● Sugen Pillaywas elected president ofConsulting Engineers SA (Cesa). He succeedsNeresh Pather.
Pillay, the MD ofZitholele Consulting, is registered as a professional engineer and has more than 20 years’ experience in the design and implementation of projects covering most facets of civil engineering.
He has a BSc (Hons) in civil engineering, a postgraduate diploma in civil engineering and an MBA.
Referring to his new role, Pillaysaid: “It is not a position that one takeslightly; and having been involved at the Cesa board level for a number ofyears now, I continue to appreciate the key role that Cesa plays in the industry.”
● Primedia Group has appointed current group chief business officer Geraint Crwys-Williams to the additional post of chair of Primedia Broadcasting.
Crwys-Williams has more than 15 years’ experience with Primedia Group. He has worked on group business development strategies, human capital, regulatory management, risk management and compliance.
He said: “I am grateful for the confidence Omar [Essack, group CEO] has shown by appointing me to this role. I am certain that, working alongside Eric [D’Oliveira, Primedia Broadcasting CEO], Primedia Broadcastingwill continue to grow audiences and enhance its value proposition.”
