The late Mandla Hlatshwayo poses for a selfie with Kombi Ngubane and the 11-month-old son Ngubane says he fathered.

The drama that surrounded Mandla Hlatshwayo on television seems to be following him to the grave.

The late Generations actor was buried two weeks ago but his family is yet to mourn him in peace. As the feud between Hlatshwayo’s estranged wife Amanda and girlfriend Mami continues to play itself out, a third woman claiming to be his baby mama, has spoken out.

Kombi Ngubane, 25, from Protea North in Soweto has revealed how she feels sidelined by the actor and DJ’s family although she is the mother of his 11-month-old baby boy.

“They know me very well. Even Mami knows me. They are trying to make things difficult saying that everything Mandla left behind belongs to Mami. These things belong to all his five children,” she said.

Ngubane said she received a call from Hlatshwayo’s brother, Lucky, a day after the star was shot dead in Soweto, asking her to stay away from the family home in Chiawelo during the funeral arrangements. Attempts to get comment from Lucky were unsuccessful.

“I sent my family to his house. I was told that his mother got mad at my family and chased them away,” she added.

Sowetan has seen a letter, allegedly from the slain actor to the Ngubane family, written in 2014, asking for the young woman’s hand in marriage.

“The same brothers and friends who say to me today that I should not go to Mandla’s home are the ones who came to my house when Mandla paid lobola for me, These people are disrespecting me. They are lying when they say Mandla paid lobola for Mami.

“I was with him the whole of December, including on Christmas and New Year’s Day, and at no point did he go to that woman’s home,” she said.

Ngubane said Hlatshwayo’s family lied to justify their “cultural disgrace” of choosing a girlfriend to mourn on the mattress. When Sowetan called Hlatshwayo's sister Maggie yesterday, she did not deny or confirm knowing Ngubane but asked to be left alone.

Sunday World reported that Amanda, mother to two of Hlatshwayo’s children, had applied for a court interdict to prevent the family from entering his Kibler Park, in Johannesburg, home before installing locks on the gates of the house.

Ngubane said Mami was getting preferential treatment from the family because of the close relationship she has with the Hlatshwayos.
