BUCS HAPPY JELE’S BACK TO CLAIM HIS POSITION

- Sowetan Reporter

HAPPY Jele should return to the Orlando Pirates set up for this weekend ’ s Absa Premiership match against Jomo Cosmos after recovering from a groin strain, the club reported yesterday.

Jele, who missed the last two matches against the Uni- versity of Pretoria and Maritzburg United, returned to full training with the Buccaneers this week, making him eligible for selection on Saturday against Ezenkosi at Olen Park (6pm).

“Jele has completed full training with the rest of the team and has not reported any discomfort or pain dur- ing the session,” Pirates said on their website.

It is almost certain that Jele will go straight into the starting XI, with his deputy Ntsikelelo Nyauza, who has played the last two games, suspended. Nyauza received his fourth yellow card in Bucs ’ 3-3 draw at Maritzburg last weekend, triggering a one-match ban.

Pirates also reported that Thandani Ntshumayelo has an ankle injury, putting him in doubt for the fixture.

“[ He] injured his ankle following a nasty tackle against Maritzburg. According to the medical team, Ntshumayelo is experiencing some pain and swelling is evident. As a result, the midfielder has been referred to doctors for further observation.”

Defender Siyabonga Sangweni is also out.

Meanwhile, Oupa Manyisa, who has been out for three months, has started training, according to Bucs, although he ’ s only expected back to full fitness in March.
