Dust 4 Glory challenge starts today
The inaugural Klein-Karoo Dust 4 Glory Challenge will take place today (Friday) and tomorrow at Wilgewandel outside Oudtshoorn. This exciting event will also be the first obstacle course challenge in the Garden Route and Klein-Karoo region.
Its central location makes it easily accessible to all the major towns and cities situated within the Western Cape. The two categories the athletes will be competing in consist of the Night trail Run that will start tonight, (29 November) (5km en 10km), as well as the Obstacle Course Challenge that will start tomorrow. The Obstacle Course Challenge will be decided in the following categories; 1 km including 10 obstacles, 4-5km including 10 obstacles and 9-10km that includes 20 obstacles.
The event promises to be a weekend of fun and adventure for families, friends, corporate colleagues or scholars. Participants can enter individually or as part of a team.
Not only will each participant receive a medal for the Obstacle Course Challenge, but they will get discount to four major attractions on the Cango Caves road which includes the Cango Caves, Buffelsdrift Game Lodge, Cango Wildlife Ranch and Caves Caves Estate Zipline.
Medals will also be awarded in the following categories:
10km Night trail run
1km Obstacle course challenge
5km Obstacle course challenge
10km Obstacle course challenge
All the participants are also urged to donate one item of clothing that they are not using anymore.
These donations will be given to an organisation that is yet to be confirmed. The Klein Karoo Dust 4 Glory also intends to keep continuing using the obstacle course in the future for team-building purposes that involves rugby, corporate & school groups.
