Kretzenshoop holiday programme a treat for all

-

Amelia Havemann, George: Kretzenshoop Primary’s winter holiday programme was a huge success, filled with exciting educational activities for the learners, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Fagen Solomons of Kretzenshoop Primary, and Amelia Havemann of the Living Language Foundation, would like to extend a huge thank you to the following individuals and groups who helped make it a very special holiday:

The George Municipality for the use of the ‘Red House’ in Blanco; Councillor Jean Safers; Oom San and Aunt Megan who work hard to maintain the house and ensured the learners had beautiful and well-kept facilities to use; Clifford Sheldon, the local motivational life coach; Marzanne Carelse, Deon Wilkin and the team from Cape Nature;

Errol Jaftha of the George Museum; Neville Booysen, the groundskeeper at Kretzenshoop Primary; Neil Dikwex and the rest of the team from the

Khoi San Activists; Eric Phillpot from DigiFusion for his ongoing support at the school; all the parents and learners involved in the programme, and the hardworking Kretzenshoop aftercare team, Giovita Havemann, Michelle du Plessis, Natasha Kitsa and Shanley Ewerts. A special thank you also goes to Brümilda Swartbooi from the George Herald for her ongoing support.

This programme would not have been possible without the support of all these individuals, as well as the community, and has contributed greatly to growth and upliftment of all the learners involved. Thank you all!
