The iconic lifestyle brand Birkenstock can trace its history to 1774. For more than a century, it has been using the term ‘footbed’ as a synonym for outstanding comfort.

The Birkenstock footbed is created from all natural materials – cork, jute, leather and latex – that mould to your foot, creating a personalised fit and legendary comfort.

This season, Birkenstock merges impeccable, functional design with high-end versatility and flair that make style a way of life.

Take a closer look at some of the German brand’s new collections of must-have styles for the coming months:

Earthy Vegan

This season’s Earthy Vegan collection, produced using 100% animal-free materials, comprises a playful colour palette of classic sandals and versatile clogs in gorgeous colours such as Lavender Fog, Sky, Light Rose and Popcorn. Styles in this collection include the Arizona (R1 899), Gizeh (R1 899), Mayari (R1 999) and Boston (R2 399). All shoes in the collection have vegan microfibre footbeds, and some of the footbeds feature a vibrant ombre design.

Bend

Minimalistic sneakers are making a comeback, so say hello to the Bend, the newest member of Birkenstock’s closed shoe collection. This is a unisex style that is both sporty and chic, offering the perfect blend of fashion and comfort. The Bend’s sleek design features either a smooth leather upper in Black, White, Silver or Roast (R3 299), or a soft suede and canvas upper in Sandcastle, Midnight, Whale Grey or Soft Pink (R2 999).

Suede Shearling

For cooler days, opt for a stunning pair of Suede Shearling sandals. These are made using premium suede that is comfortable and easy to care for, and creates a timeless look. The warm shearling lining is extra soft and has insulating and natural moisture-wicking properties. This season’s Suede Shearling collection, in store from April, is available in the Arizona double-strap style in Mink, Stone Coin, Black, Light Blue and Light Rose (R3 299).

High Shine

Introducing the premium High Shine collection: an illustrious patent leather range that is sophisticated and elegant, with a timeless touch of refinement. The soft, high-gloss leather uppers are complemented by footbeds lined in rich Italian leather, offering attention-grabbing style and extraordinary comfort. Available in the iconic styles Arizona (R3 399) and Madrid (R2 899), as well as the Franca (R3 399). Colours include a luscious Black and a moreish
