Go to Sassa to see how poor use the best smart phones

ODDS AND ENDS

Banks in the UK and USA have seen a dramatic increase in cash withdrawals since July 2022 as reported by the United Nations economic desk. Citizens are now using cash for all purchases and dumping plastic cards. Since the introduction of cashless services, more citizens have become victims of bad debts or overspending each month. Using cash protects a person from overspending, but most of all avoiding debt traps. According to experts, the banks designed this system to make billions of dollars of profits through bank charges, but using the gullible advertising that life will become easier if one does not carry cash. Carrying cash may not be safe, but is far safer than overspending and getting into debt. | ANON

Dear Jacob Zuma Foundation: Go to Sassa and see the poor using the most recent smartphones. Child grant recipients also hold those fancy smartphones in their hands together with their babies. The public won't be misled by your claptrap answers. So how does the very poor own these fancy smartphones? .... go figure it OUT. | ANON

Why would you disclose another person's medical records, what happened to the confidentiality of such records? He is not my favourite but this will be an infringement of Mr Zuma's rights. This can go right to the constitutional court. The only thing that needs to be asked is about where Fraser got the medical experience to put away the recommendations of a team of medical experts that makes up the parole medical board. Something isn't right. | KHOTSO SEKHOBO

We as Africans must worry about how we treat our own and about self-hate among ourselves. I am not a Zuma fan but he didn’t release himself, why blame him? He is an old man. What did Zuma do that others didn’t? Today they want us to love Mr Ankole who is laundering money on his farm. We must be concerned about why they love him so much. | THEMBINKOSI BAMBELO

The pain that teachers and parents are experiencing because of naughty undisciplined kids is totally unacceptable and must be blamed on the government. This corrupt government gave kids the right to sue parents who aren't allowed to enforce proper discipline. | NANDI FARKAS

Teachers are not given the support they deserve just like other departments in the government sector. They are on their own. So there are many ways in which one reacts. The teacher needs help the same way these kids are prioritised when it comes to their education by the department. | JABUZA MADONSELA

Please explain what is Peace in the heat of the war in Ukraine. The word operation cannot be trusted again as we know of Operation Praying Mantis, Operation Wolverine, Operation Desert Storm and now Special Military Operation, and all these operations have one thing in common called guns, killing and injuring people. They say "denazify" while the Nazis are fighting alongside Russia in Ukraine, they are the Rusich Group and the Russian Imperial Movement. Nazism is an ideology, and just like religion, it is impossible to root out any ideology from people. They go on to say demilitarise, however, Ukraine has more ammo and troops than it had on the morning of the 24th of Feb. | TINYIKO KHAMBANI

Justice in South Africa is selective in who it should work for and how it should work. | ANON

Not surprising... if you want to be the tip of the sword, you need to be sharp. There’s nothing sharp about Denel anymore. Just another SA tragedy. | PENRICH
