Malema, one day you’ll change red overall for orange

Hlaudi Motsoeneng and Faith Muthambi were good examples of how the ANC creates chaos by deploying and supporting weak, inexperienced and incompetent persons into positions of power. The mess they created in their respective organisations is ample proof that the ANC is part of the problem.

Advocate Tembeka Ngcukaitobi, who is defending the EFF against hate speech levelled against them by Sanef, averred that Malema was speaking metaphorically when he urged his supporters, saying “when the enemy rears its head, do not attack the head, cut it off”. Given Malema’s penchant for inflammatory verbiage, would that be seen as metaphorical? Really? So when Malema incites his supporters to kill whites, is that a metaphor? I’m lost Advocate. Please explain. | Vijay.

Malema and the EFF are opportunists. They don’t really care for the poor of this country. Malema wants to become the president of South Africa so that, like Mugabe, he too would become a dictator and loot the country. He also wants to discourage any investigation into his financial affairs. He might end up having to change his overalls from red to orange ones. | HS

It seems that the PP is determined to dig for dirt on President Ramaphosa and doesn’t care how deep she has to dig. She may need an excavator. Just to even the scales how about she does some digging on who funded Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma’s campaign and go back to Jacob Zuma’s campaign. That’s fair. | DJ

National Health Insurance will never work in SA for the following reasons – The ANC’s track record of corruption and the lack of finances. What it will do for sure is destroy everything that is working reasonably well now. Still having doubts? See point one, the ANC track record. Back to the drawing board.

ETHEKWINI MUNICIPALITY

Zandile Gumede should do the right thing and step down. One does not have to be a rocket scientist to work that out. Look at the condition of our beautiful city since she has been mayor. Disgusting.

The proof of electricity theft is all in the authorities’ faces. Why don’t they charge individual shack owners who have lights in their houses or when people die after touching these cables? They’d rather send metro police to Sparks Road and Florida Road and soft targets to ticket parked cars to make up the shortfall. | Gail.

What is wrong with the ANC? Rotten to the core. They cannot take a decision on Zandile Gumede who is tainted with R208m fraud allegations along with 62 other councillors. When will they wake up, when it’s too late? Stop pussyfooting around. Fire Gumede now. | The Don.

ODDS AND ENDS

Do readers know that Naas Botha is the head coach of lndia’s new rugby team? This country is opening its doors to so many new sports, an opportunity for people in SA to look for new pastures.

The students marching for supposed justice for the student who was shot by security guards are carrying on as if he wasn’t doing anything wrong. He was involved with a raging mob that was setting alight cars, buildings, throwing rocks at police and security – in other words committing a crime. If these students can’t face the consequences, they mustn’t do the offences. | Dee

My heart goes out to the thousands of people being infected with Aids. Especially those who have been infected by partners, husbands or wives who in turn knew their own status but still indulged in unsafe sex. Shame on you. | Bob, Wentworth.
