is a new series which screens on Monday’s at 5pm on Food Network, DStv Channel 175.Working away across the Great Plains of America Ree Drummond and her family cook up some tasty dishes full of wholesome ingredient­s. Ree flaunts her incredible talent for classic dishes and original recipes as she cooks for her family and friends.With everyone wellfed, Ree even has time to teach her husband Ladd a thing or two in the kitchen.

Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Throw in the tofu and break it up into very small pieces. Cook until much of the liquid cooks off and the tofu starts to turn golden, for several minutes.

Add the chili powder and some salt and pepper, then stir. Throw in the green onions and corn and cook for a few minutes (the corn can remain crunchy). Add the soy sauce and cook until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Turn off the heat and stir in the balsamic vinegar.

Pile the mixture into individual romaine lettuce leaves, then add slices of avocado. Fold up and chow down! toasting it, 10 to 15 minutes. Set aside to cool.In a small jar, shake together 1/4 cup olive oil, the vinegar and some salt and pepper.

Put the cooled cornbread and vegetables in a large bowl. Pour over the dressing, tossing gently to combine. Add the mozzarella balls and some salt and pepper and mix. Add the basil and toss again. Cover and allow to sit at room temperatur­e for 1 to 2 hours before serving. Sprinkle with more salt and pepper and serve.
