Ministry honors CPC at Saudi Forum for Green Building
The Ministry of Municipalities and Rural Affairs honored Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) for its endorsement and CSR sponsorship of the fourth Saudi Forum for Green Building during the opening ceremony in Riyadh on Sunday (Nov. 17).
CPC supported the forum because of its keenness toward environmental and social sustainability and its active participation in such activities that would have direct impact on the environment and society. The trophy was handed over by Prince Husam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz on behalf of the minister of municipalities and rural affairs to CPC Director of Business Development and Head of CSR Department Faysal Alaquil during the inauguration.
“On behalf of CPC, I am honored to receive this trophy at the fourth Saudi Forum for Green Building. Our sponsorship of this event showcases our commitment toward the continuing development of green building initiatives within the Kingdom,” Alaquil said.
CPC is one of the pioneering Saudi companies and the first construction company in Saudi Arabia to issue a report on sustainability, which has been approved recently by the Global Reporting Initiative.
The forum is designed to demonstrate the Kingdom’s capacity and efforts through setting national policy for the environmental impact of the built environment while encouraging design, construction and operation of highly efficient sustainable buildings.
