Choose to be healthy
It is always great to start the year right by choosing to take the healthy path. This is why the Cohen’s Lifestyle Centre highlighted the health and wellness trends of 2016 at a media briefing recently.
Dr. Monica Cabral, an active consultant of Internal Medicine- Endocrinology at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City, presented the health trends. According to her, this year’s trends are geared toward preventing non- communicable diseases ( NCDs). “Most of these diseases are obesity- related and can be prevented by healthy lifestyle changes, like being more active and eating the right types of food,” Cabral said.
Successful graduates of the Cohen’s Lifestyle Program, a rapid weight- loss and wellness program through nutrition, were also presented during the event. These graduates were able to lose weight by eating the right kind and right amount of food prescribed by international specialist Dr. Rami
Cohen based on their unique blood profile. “The road to weight loss and wellness need not be too slow or too rough. Remember that everyone has different health needs due to genetic make- up, biochemistry and the effects of one’s personal environment. If you want to be healthy, always choose healthy habits. If you don’t know where to start, start with your diet. Use food as your medicine to lose weight,” said Barbara Young, CEO of Cohen’s Lifestyle Centre.
In addition to its lifestyle program, the lifestyle center now offers Cohen Meals on Wheels, which are personalized and healthy ready- to- eat gour met meals delivered to customers’ doorsteps. These meals are best for people who want to follow the Cohen program but lack the time or skill to prepare their own food.
