Acer, partners see stronger alliance

-

After years of having a fruitful collaboration with Microsoft and VillMan Computers, Acer Philippines is still looking forward to a much longer and stronger partnership with its long-time allies.

The three IT giants in the country recently reopened two Acer Concept Stores, one in SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City and the other in SM City North EDSA in Quezon City.

Both stores got all the needed renovation and refurbishment to make them look fresher and more comfortable to help attract more customers to come inside.

It all started back in 2007 when Acer and VillMan Computers joined hands in opening Acer’s first concept store, aimed at showcasing Acer’s impressive lineup of products catering to Filipinos’ varying IT needs. Soon enough, Microsoft Philippines joined in, making the partnership even more solid.

“Our partnership with VillMan, and then later on with Microsoft has been very successful,” Acer Philippines general manager Manuel Wong said. “We focused on the experience our customers can get when we first started these stores. It is not enough that they would just have the look of the product, especially right now. We wanted our customers to have a complete feel of the product.”

For his part, VillMan Computers chief executive officer Boyet Villaroman, said, “We are proud to say that we are the ones who opened Acer’s first concept store.”

He said Acer and Microsoft have always been supportive when it comes to helping improve their stores, especially with their partners.

“Whenever we need something for the stores, Acer and Microsoft are always there to help us out. They are really putting so much investment in this partnership,” he added.

“We see VillMan and Acer as our alliance partners in pushing our operating system in the market,” Microsoft Philippines partner account manager Mon del Rosario said.

“What I really like working with them is their commitment to the partnership. They align with our campaigns and we appreciate that they put so much effort into it. That is why we really take good care of our partners because through the channels of our partners, Microsoft is pushed further to the market,” he said.

All three IT companies see that their partnership will prosper with more business and more success in the coming years. “We have been through a lot of challenges, but we are still here,” Wong said. “I am still looking forward to the years that will come for this partnership.”
