Sunny days up ahead, P-noy tells exporters

President Aquino assuaged fears of Filipino e<porters at a time when economic giants # and Europe are e < periencing financial slowdown, reassuring them that there will eventually be light at the end of the tunnel.

“I remain confident in your ability to weather the storm,” he told the businessme­n who attended the ‹Œth anniversar­y of PhilE < port at the World Trade enter in Pasay ity Tuesday night.

“2our situation is not much different from what our administra­tion encountere­d when we first came into office,” Aquino related, recalling they too didn’t know “e<actly what we would find.”

“Even before we started, we knew there were problems we would have to deal with, but we were still staggered by the sheer amount of anomalies we uncovered every day, seemingly in every sector,” he said.

“This gives me optimism that when the world recovers from the recession, our e<ports sector will be ready,” Aquino said with confidence and urged the business sector to keep their faith in government in terms of support.
