Tolotolo snares SK Juniors B crown in Alegado Cup

Harold Herbieto piled up 23 points and Rhanzel Quijano added 20 as Tolotolo upstaged Garing, 102-95, to win the championship in the SK Juniors Category B of the 8th Mayor Teresa 'Nene' P. Alegado Fiesta Basketball League in Consolacion.

Norvie Kyle Bathan chipped in 18 markers and Jessie Bathan contributed 11 points for Tolotolo, which figured in a closequarter battle with Garing from the onset resulting into a 63-all deadlock after three periods.

But Tolotolo proved to the hungrier and more determined squad as it fought steadier down the final stretch to outlast Garing.

Clyde Alin paced Garing with 24 points, Cydjay Visabella had 20, while Vonxyle Tundag and Edimz Pongase connived for 32 points in a losing cause.

On the other hand, Marco Booker Panta and Sean Joseph Tero fired 24 points apiece as Pitogo stunned defending champion Pulpogan, 90-83, in the opener of their bestof-three finals series under the SK Juniors Category A.

John Lloyd Pepito chalked up 23 points for Pitogo, which kept Pulpogan at bay after taking a nine-point edge, 64-55, going into the final 10-minute mark of the contest.

Raymundo Osabel paced Pulpogan with 25 points, while John Paulo Dalumpines and James Wennard Saliot tallied 37 points across their names in a losing cause.

In the Inter-Barangay Seniors Category B, Jemar Arcilla erupted for 30 points, while CJ Arcilla and Jun Medillo finished with 35 combined points as Lanipga ousted Garing, 84-80, to set up a championship showdown with Polog.

Meanwhile, Benick Selana scored 18, Jayjay Manga had 16, while Danny Ying and Eliod Poligrates conspired for 27 points as Fighter Wine down the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) Selection, 79-77, in their exhibition game.—
