Korean oil company enters Phl market
A party to celebrate S-Oil, South Korea’s premium lubricant brand, was held on April 12 at Seda Capitol Central Hotel in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
The event was attended by major corporate players from the agriculture, fishing, construction and luxury car industries. While S-Oil is a relatively new player in the Philippine market, it is steadily growing popularity in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.
When compared with other high-end lubricants, S-Oil products offer the same technical specifications and international accreditations but at lower prices. With the drastic increase in excise tax this year, S-Oil makes a well-timed push in the Philippine market.
“Customers won’t sacrifice quality. Their equipment is too valuable,” said Charlie Lopez, President of Lubritek, Inc., the distributor of S-Oil in the Visayas. “S-Oil meets their standards so it’s a practical choice for them.”
Since its start in 1976, S-Oil has grown into one of the most competitive oil refineries in the Asia Pacific region. A Fortune 500 company, S-Oil is also the first Asian oil refinery to be recognized by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
Earlier in the day, representatives from S-Oil’s main office in Seoul held a technical seminar for companies wanting to know more about S-Oil’s extensive product line of engine, marine and gear oils.
“We are touched by what we’ve seen in the Philippine market. There is the opportunity to grow together,” said Mr. Kwun Daewoong, S-Oil Export Sales Manager for lubricants. He explained that S-Oil is committed to helping Filipinos find products to match the particular needs of their businesses.
S-Oil is distributed in the Visayas by Lubritek, Inc. 0920-9234255, in Mindanao by National Lube One Trading Corp. 09189366918, and in Manila by Top 1 Premium Marketing, Inc., 0917-3002365.
