ALA Promotions bares major plans

This 2017, ALA Promotions announces yet another exciting news to Filipino boxing fans: program expansion and more frequent shows targeted to showcase ring talents to a bigger market especially in the country’s provinces.

- ALA Promotions reveals it will be expanding a new content, “Fists of the Future”. Successfully

launched last July 2016 in San Mateo, California, it will be another series under the concept ALA Provincial Tour.

ALA Promotions President and CEO Michael Aldeguer shares FOF will be “a smaller tier event compared to Pinoy Pride and will be held in smaller, provincial cities both in the Philippines and US.”

'Fists of the Future' is targeted to tour provinces and smaller cities, bringing world-class boxing closer to the Filipinos not just in the

Philippines, but also all over the world. The program will feature current champions, providing fellow Filipinos and boxing fans a chance to experience live boxing and see boxing champions up-close.

In addition, its grassroots program, IDOL, is set to visit more cities to stage its events this year. Launched back in 2013, the IDOL grassroots series features up and coming promising young fighters. It aims to provide promising young fighters from all over the country an avenue to showcase their skills and develop their potential.

The second edition of the IDOL series was held at the Mandaue City Sports Complex July of last year. The event was co-headlined by knockout young prospect Jeo Santisima (122, 11KO’s) from Masbate and Phl#2 Melvin Jerusalem of Bukidnon, who is undefeated in 11 fights.

This, with the steady buildup of international and bigger Pinoy Pride shows, promises an exciting and busy year ahead for Philippine Boxing.
