A man whose head and body bore gunshot wounds was found dead and stuffed inside a sack yesterday dawn in Barangay Lower Calajo-an, Minglanilla town.

The fatality was later identified by his siblings as Bobby Labrador, 30, of Spring Village, Barangay Pakigne, Minglanilla. He was allegedly a former tricycle driver.

The sack containing the body was found 4 a.m. yesterday by taxi driver Democrito Lasala.

According to Police Officer 2 Vincent Aliñabo of Minglanilla Police Station, Lasala went out of his house to supposedly report for work when he noticed a white sack placed next to the barbed wire fence and tied with a yellow nylon rope.

Curious, he checked the sack’s contents by touching it outside and to his surprise, felt something what he described to be a human head.

He immediately contacted the police.

Responding policemen opened the sack and found another sack with transparent plastic where a man’s body was stuffed inside.

They took the body out of the sack and checked it. The man was wearing black shirt and jeans.

Two gunshot wounds, one to the back of the head and another one to the right shoulder, were found in the victim’s body. The victim’s right hand was also mutilated, said police.

Furthermore, a gun replica was also found inside the sack.

Chief Inspector Richard Gadingan, chief of Minglanilla Police Station, sought the help of the media to have the man identified.

Siblings Herme and Rocky Labrador, whose brother Bobby Labrador failed to come home the previous night, heard on the radio a report on the discovery of a body in Calajo-an, prompting them to immediately proceed to the police station.

After shown pictures from the crime scene, the two confirmed that the body was that of their missing brother.

Aliñabo said that at past 2 a.m. yesterday, Lasala allegedly heard his pet dog barking outside of the house and a motorcycle stopped and hurriedly sped off shortly. He allegedly did not bother to check it and went back to sleep.

According to Aliñabo, the victim was formerly a tricycle driver and was allegedly engaged in selling illegal drugs.
