CSF is ‘kalasag’ finalist
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) of San Fernando was a finalist in the independent or component city category of the 20th Gawad KALASAG (Kalamidad at Sakuna Labanan, Sariling Galing ang Kaligtasan) National Awards Search
The much-awaited highlight of the Pampanga Day celebration was held last Tuesday at The Promenade in King’s Royale Hotel in Bacolor town.
The 11 outstanding citizens excelled in their respective fields and brought honor and pride to the province.
Police Senior Superintendent Marvin Mangune excelled in the field of Law Enforcement; Dr. Beatriz Torno in Education; Japeth Paul Aguilar in Sports; Mary Michelle Quiambao in Government Service; Jack Tuason in Business and Entrepreneurship; Allan Cosio in Arts; Francisco Guinto in Culture; Dr. Arthur Dayrit in Agriculture; Juanito Simon in Science and Technology; Ferdinand Lapuz in Mass Media; and Gean Robee Tungul in Youth Service.
Vice-Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and former Pampanga governor, Minister of Justice, assemblyman and MOKA awardee Estelito Mendoza personally awarded their plaques of recognition and congratulated the awardees for bringing honor to Pampanga.
According to the vice-governor, the annual search for Kapampangans who excelled in their respective endeavors and professions, is not just about personal achievement but celebrating the God-given talents of Pampanga citizens.
Moreover, for Vice-Governor Pineda, this is a way of preserving the culture and traditions of the province as well as providing an inspiration to the younger generation by paying tribute to those who have contributed well to the welfare of the provi nce.
