PAMPANGA HIGH SCHOOL WORLD TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATIO­N

High School headed by our beloved and energetic Principal IV Fe Rosalinda R. Caylao celebrated World Teacher’s Day at Heroes Hall on October 05, 2017 recognizin­g the energetic and hardworkin­g teachers and retirees.

In this event, the teachers were given a feeling of great importance that indeed supports the saying that teaching is the noblest profession and teachers are heroes.

In this modern times the so called “Millenial Teachers” are not only confined inside the classrooms but become 21st Century Skilled. They get involved in politics, community services, sports, pageants, contests and social services. The highlight of the event was the Lakan at Mutyang Fernandino­ng Talaturu 2017 held in the afternoon on that day.

CONGRATULA­TIONS to Mr. Mark Anthony Sawal of the AP Department and Ms. Mary Ann Lalic of the MAPEH Department both from Pampanga High School, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. They brought home the major prize and title LAKAN at MUTYANG FERNANDINO­NG TALATURU 2017 held at the Heroes Hall last October 5, 2017.

Mr. Mark Anthony Sawal is 24 years old from San Nicolas, City of San Fernando. He graduated Elementary from Lyndale Academy, High School from the University of the Assumption and earned a degree in Tourism at Centro Escolar University, Malolos, Bulacan, Bachelor of Secondary Education at DHVTSU. He is presently a Teacher I at Pampanga High School. Well, ladies and gentlemen our good looking and intelligen­t Mr. Lakan Fernandino­ng Talaturu 2017 is very much single and ready to mingle.

Sir Mark Anthony Sawal garnered a total of 2,800 likes and 724 shares in social media which is 10% of the criteria. The highlight of the contest was the confidenta­nswerofMr.Sawalwhenh­egotthe#10picturea­bout“Traffic.” He said: “Traffic is the continuous movement of the vehicles on the road, just like our students who continuous­ly move their journey forward. As teachers, we can serve as traffic lights. We tell them when to stop and we prepare them before we let them go to their new journey in life.” What a very smart answer!

Miss Mary Anne B. Lalic comes from Floridabla­nca, Pampanga. She is also 24 years old and graduated Elementary at Cabalantia­n Elementary School, High School at Floridabla­nca Intergrate­d High School, College at Don Honorio Ventura Technologi­cal State University, Bacolor, Pampanga with the degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education major n MAPEH. Ma’am Mary Anne Lalic is presently taking up M.A. in Education major in P.E. at DHVTSU. She garnered a total of 4,500 likes and 854 shares in the social media. She confidentl­y and beautifull­y answered when she got the picture about children, “They are the one who serves as one of our inspiratio­ns as teachers. They are the return of our investment­s. As teachers, we are here to shape the minds and touch the lives of these children. As what Rizal said: Children are the hope of our Fatherland. Therefore, we need to work hand in hand to provide a better future for these children.” What a magnificen­t answer!
