WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A MAPEH TEACHER?

MAPEH teachers are being tagged as jack of all trades but with mastery on each component of MAPEH. Being a MAPEH teacher is not easy as it may seem. There are many things you have to consider to become an effective and efficient MAPEH teacher. As we all know it is divided into Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health. Four learning areas in subject literally if you are a MAPEH teacher you are already have four preparations in just one subject. But for them it is just normal for. MAPEH teachers are trained and they are competent and equipped with skills set to handle the subject.

In order to become a competent 21st century teacher of MAPEH you have manifest the following skills and qualities to ensure quality teaching- learning process.

A (1) FLEXIBLE/ RESILIENT- as a MAPEH teacher it is a must that you are resilient. You should know at least the basics of Music, Arts, P.E and Health. You must know how to suit yourself in every situation of learning specially on dealing mediocre students.

(2) PATIENT- it is the basic requirement to become as effective teacher of MAPEH. You trust the process and you believe in multiple intelligences. You also have the ability to see potential in every learner.

(3) TEAMPLAYER- as a MAPEH teacher you have the ability to work with other and you selflessly share your skills in your colleagues. In order to become a competent MAPEH teacher you know your strength and weaknesses.

(4) GOAL ORIENTED- no matter how good you are and competent you are as a MAPEH teacher if you are nit driven with goal then everything is none sense.
