Clark Square Mall to attract more tourists in Clark Freeport

-

The

newly constructed Clark Square Mall (CSM) located inside a 3-hectare commercial complex in front of the Clark International Airport (CIA) is now ready for occupancy.

CSM Vice-President Andy Kim told Sun.Star Pampanga that the shopping mall is part of the Global Square Pl aza Phil. Corporporation's thrust to lure in more tourists in the Freeport.

“We are anticipating more and more tourists here in Clark because as we all know, the Clark International Airport will be the country’s second gateway. We are anticipating more passengers, so this is for their convenience. The trend now is that airports have nearby malls and places for rest and recreation,” he said.

He noted that CSM already has eight commercial stalls which are about to open as early as next month. These ventures include restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, and other specialty shops.

Kim said that 12 to 15 commercial spaces are available for lease. Tenants can choose from areas ranging from 87 square meters to a maximum area of 293 square meters.

Apart from the shopping mall, the Korean investor also noted that Global Square Plaza Phil. Corp. will soon be opening a swimming pool and a 3-story hotel in the said area.

“The swimming pool is one of our many attractions here in the complex. It will bring in more guests and customers. While mothers go to the mall to shop, their children can stay in the swimming pool to swim and enjoy.”

He said that the hotel or what he calls the “budgetel’will serve as the nearest accommodation for passengers who just landed from the airport or those who need a short stay while waiting for their flights to depart.

“We have to complete the construction of the hotel within one year from next month. We will offer accommodations at a very reasonable price starting from P2,000 to a maximum of P3,000 only.”

Kim noted that their company has already invested a total of $200 Million dollars just for the Clark Square Mall alone.

He furthered that that Global Square Plaza Phil. Corp. is planning to acquire 2.3 hectares more, for the third phase of the complex which will house an amusement park and a 3-story residential building.

He also disclosed that the company is planning to install a bus terminal on the said complex.

“We are already negotiating with the bus lines. Hopefully, it will pursue.”
