THIRTEEN water districts from all across Pampanga joined in this year’s Golf Fellowship Tournament at Beverly Place Golf and Country Club over the weekend in a bid to raise funds for its community programs for this year.

The Pampanga Association of Water Districts (PAMAWD) was established to provide cooperation among water utilities in the province. It is tasked with sharing best practices in water utility administration and serves as a unified voice of water utilities in Pampanga. The association is composed of the Guagua Water District, Angeles City Water District, Lubao Water District, Masantol Water District, Sta. Rita Water District, Porac Water District, Mabalacat Water District, and Floridablanca Water District among others.

President Jorge Gumba said the golf tournament was aimed at bringing all member water utilities together in a day of brotherly fellowship, while providing the perfect venue to discuss the programs of the water district for the coming year.

The golf tournament was participated by a good number of members and was supported by Gov. Lilia Pineda.

" The group hopes to start some of its corporate social responsibility programs, tree planting and other welfare programs for immediate communities through this effort," Gumba said.

Gumba said the PAMAWD will continue with its skills and development programs and will foster better cooperation with water districts on the implementation of community and social programs and projects.
