Usep holds Uni-wide RDE in-house review
THE University of Southeastern Philippines (Usep) conducted the Uni-wide Research, Development and Extension (RDE) In-House Review on October 4-5, 2017 at the Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City.
This year’s In-House Review welcomed proposals that are aligned with the six five-Year RDE Agenda of the University, namely: Climate Change, Sustainable Agriculture, Policy Studies, Socio-Cultural, Manufacturing and Production, and Emerging Trends. In the same event, RDE identified highly potential research and extension programs to be funded in the next fiscal year.
Aligned with Usep’s efforts in becoming a research university in the Asean region, this event encourages its faculty members to showcase their proposed researches and extension programs to uplift the living conditions of the citizens in the region. For years, Usep, as an academic institution, has extended support to the underserved and marginalized communities by utilizing its research findings.
Last year, the Uni-wide RDE In-House Review also developed programs that have capacitated people in the region with different skills and values needed to create a livelihood project.
Usep strives to create a strong and dynamic research and extension community that produces alternatives for socio-political issues in the region. It also seeks to foster critical reflection and encourages methodological and theoretical refinement in the work of its faculty academics. Usep OP/RDay
