Behind Anne Feo’s classic beautiful face is a strong woman who has managed to stand up despite the odds that have tested her faith and determination.

Anne, or Antonette Bernadith Feo, who was born in Davao City and grew up in Tagum City, has gained popularity due to her numerous commercial and TV projects.

The 45-year-old proud mother of two has already appeared in the TV ads of Nescafe Classic, Chowking, Jollibee Delivery, Pediasure Plus, Gain Plus, Dove, Air 21, BDO, Tempra, Coca Cola, Head and Shoulders and Rebisco Biscuit. But among these projects, she revealed that it was her stint with Penshoppe which she considers her biggest break.

“The most memorable for me was Penshoppe because that was my first big break and it played an integral part in making me who I am today,” she quipped.

Apart from being a model, she is also a gifted actress landing a role in the Kapamilya soaps Walang Hanggan, Be Careful With My Heart, Dugong Buhay, Kahit Konting Pagtingin, Bukas na Lang Kita Mamahalin, Forevermore, Two Wives, Nathaniel, Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita, Got To Believe and Pangako Sa’Yo. She also had a cameo role in the movie Instant Mommy and I do Bido Bidoo and Kimmy Dora (The Prequel).

According to Anne, her “ignorance” brought her to showbusiness.

“I would say that ignorance indeed is bliss. I am a go-getter and said yes to a lot of things that I wasn’t really prepared for,” she shared. “It was this kind of blissful ignorance and accidental bravery that sent me to newest endeavors like acting.”

She continued by narrating that “A good friend of mine in TVC industry Alvin Fortuna called me up and asked me if I wanted to try in teleserye or soap opera.”

“He said somebody from ABS-CBN will call me because they are looking for a TV talent who will portray the role of a lawyer, after that I find myself acting in front of the camera the next day,” the gorgeous and ever-flawless actress further disclosed.

With her experience in acting, Anne feels privileged having worked with Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta, Eugene Domingo, Coco Martin, Jodi Sta. Maria, Judy Ann Santos and Noni Buencamino.

“I feel so blessed and forever grateful that I was given the chance to work, laugh and learn from remarkable actors of the Philippine movie industry’s best,” she said.

When asked what she misses about Tagum City, she quickly exclaimed: “Everything!”

“The puto maya across the Christ The King Cathedral on Rizal Street, the yellow pancake with mantikilya at the City Hall along with the peanuts, green mangoes and ballot at night,” she dished. “I miss my classmates, batchmates, my teachers my friends and of course my family, my mom and my siblings and my relatives.”

In order not to miss them badly, the mother of 22-year-old Ryan James and 17-year-old Miguel Antonio makes sure that she visits her family and her hometown at least twice a year.

When it comes to her goodlooking sons, she described them as her best friends and fashion critic.

Meanwhile, Anne gave out a mysterious response when the topic on love and romance was discussed.

“If you ask me if I am in a relationship now. I would say, I tasted the bitter and savored the sweet fruits of life, overcome adversity and pushed past heartache and strife,” she said. “Like a mythical Phoenix, I rose from the ashes and soared to a new plane of existence.”

She then added, “I believe that a busy, vibrant, goal-oriented woman is much more attractive than the one who waits for a man to validate her existence. In short, sila na ang bahala mag-isip, Ms. Jen, para naman may mystery.” ### For comments and suggestions, please feel free to reach me at mendoza.jennygrace@gmail.com.
