Comval holds medical mission

COMPOSTELA Valley Province – Residents of Barangay Cadunan in Mabini flocked at Cadunan Elementary School Covered Court to avail of the free health services offered by the provincial government through its Adopt-A-Child Program.

A total of 856 beneficiar­ies – mostly children, pregnant women, lactating mothers and senior citizens – received health services such as dental check-up, eye screening, medical check- up, ultrasound services, circumcisi­on, ear check-up, and hearing test.

The Compostela Valley Provincial Hospital-Pantukan Health Team and the 71st ID Batallion also joined and extended free haircut to children, and together with PNP personel providing security services.

The young boys, while waiting to be circumcise­d, were also gathered for a story-telling activity and hygiene education.

According to Barangay Captain Lota Incog, the medical outreach is the very first activity of their 61st Araw Ng Kadunan Celebratio­n anchored on the theme, “Gugma ug Panaghiusa maoy Simbolo sa Kalamboan sa Brgy. Cadunan.”

A Governor’s Night was also set as the evening event at the Barangay Hall.

Therma Marine personnel were also present led by their Operations Manager Pablo Suarez who said they were very happy seeing the residents responded and availed the offered medical outreach.

The endeavor, he further shared, is part of their corporate social responsibi­lity.

Other partners of the medical mission are the offices of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), and Provincial Economic Enterprise & Management Office (PEEMO) in partnershi­p with Therma Marine, Inc. and Brgy. Cadunan.
