2 salesman robbed inside grocery store
BANSALAN, Davao del Sur – Two salesmen became victims of a daylight robbery hold-up inside a grocery store here Tuesday.
One of the robbers went inside Nat y ’ s Gerry along J.P. Laurel at around 10:45 a.m., pulled out guns and declared hold-up that terrified customers and grocery employees.
“Niana siya sa salesman nga kuwarta, kuwarta unya naa siyay armas nga kalibre .45 pistola (The suspect told the salesman to give his money and he has a .45 caliber handgun),” narrated Alma, a salesgirl of the bussiness establishment.
While the suspect divested the salesmen of their cash, the other two suspects stayed outside the establishment to act as lookouts.
The victims were identified as Jasper Suelam, 32, of the Green Valley Marketing and resident at Lapu-Lapu St., Digos City and Nelson Malaran, 34, of Maple Corporation and residing at 408 Al- masiga Street, Poly Subdivision, Davao City.
Taken from Suelan were his P49,349 collection from cigarette sales while Malaran lost some P9,500.
After carting away the cash of the two salesmen, the three suspects fled on board a blue-colored Honda XRM motorcycle.
The salesgirl said one of the suspect who pointed his gun against the salesmen was covering his face with a handkerchief.
His cohorts who posted outside the establishment wore raincoats as it was raining that morning, according to Alma.
The robbery reportedly took place just 100 meters f rom a police station.
“Wa man dayon mi kapangayo og tabang kay wa mi kalihok unya niabot ang mga pulis mga usa gyud ka oras nakasibat na ang mga tulisan,” Alma said.
Operatives of t he Bansalan police have launched a manhunt against the three suspects.
