Yamyamin, Alba top Loyalty Cup
JOEL Yamyamin and Carloz Alba came out on top of the golfers who played in Class - A for the 1st Loyalty Cup last May 18 at the Apo Golf & Country Club.
The tournament was played using the Modified Stableford scoring system, where Yamyamin garnerd 37 points to be crowned Gross Champion and Alba scored 42 to take the title of Net Champion.
Denden de Castro scored 29 to become Gross 1st Runner-Up and Al Rey Ceniza made 36 to become Net 1st Runner-Up. Andrew Bautista garnered 27 and Apo Luna had 34 to become Gross 2nd Runner-Up and Net 2nd Runner-Up respectively.
In Class-B, Pitt Jun Batu earned 31 points to become Gross Champion while Benjie Leparto’s 42 earned him the title of Net Champion.
Jimmy Mendaros had 31 to land himself the position of Gross 1st Runner-Up while the Net 1st RunnerUp honors was taken by Victor Hofelena.
27 points landed Edwin Cayamanda Gross 2nd Runner-Up and Jerry Leonor scored 39 to take Net 2nd Runner-Up.
Jerecho Bajo score 31 while Larry Baluso had 44 to be named Gross Champion and Net Champion of Class-C, respectively.
Elmer Quiros had 20 to land himself Gross 1st Runner-Up and Net 1st Runner-Up Brent Bautista had 41.
Jeffrey Sison and Edgar Cabrera were just one point shy of their respective second-placed counterparts, with Sison scoring 19 and Cabrera scoring 40 to win the titles of Gross 2nd Run- ner-Up and Net 2nd Runner-Up respectively.
In the Senior’s Division, Franklin Bautista scored 44 to be the division’s Net Champion, while Rene Lunes scored 37 to take Net 1st Runner-Up and Jaime Boy Tan’s 37 landed him Net 2nd Runner-Up.
UPLB - AA president Joel Laserna explained that the event was successful in terms of raising funds for their mosquito control project, but was unable to give exact figures as accounting had not yet been finished.
