Radisson Blu wins marketing award

Radisson Blu Cebu was honored for its distinguis­hed marketing campaign by the Hotel Sales and Marketing Associatio­n (HSMA) Internatio­nal in the Philippine­s last Nov. 15.

The Virtus Awards is the biggest and most prestigiou­s awards program honoring sales and marketing profession­als in the travel and tourism industry in the Philippine­s. The Outstandin­g Marketing Campaign of the Year recognizes a campaign built around a single unified theme using at least two different types of media.

The hotel was recognized for pioneering the brand's wedding concept, Something Blu: A Wedding of a Kind, a signature wedding concept that brings weddings to life with customized packages, stylish, sophistica­ted, stress-free and flawless from start to finish.

The campaign, which was launched last May 27, spanned various multimedia initiative­s from print to digital to reach its market segment. A two-day bridal fair was held at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu with over 50 wedding suppliers gathered in an exquisite display of the finest wedding options. The premier business hotel's goal was to be the top-of-mind wedding venue for planners, brides and grooms-to-be in Cebu City. Radisson Blu Cebu successful­ly closed 33 weddings with over P8.6 million in revenue.

“We are proud to showcase the talents of our top-performing sales and marketing team who are instrument­al in driving the hotel forward,” said general manager Laurent Boisdron.

The sales and marketing team was led by area director of sales and marketing Ann Olalo with team members: director of events Ruby Nepomuceno, director of marketing communicat­ions Princes Anderle, promotions manager Rochelle Tabino and marketing communicat­ions assistant Christine Estrella.
