Furniture City gets second expansion

MARKET confidence can be seen when companies increase inventorie­s to meet demand.

Such is reflected at the Furniture City as the store undergoes its second expansion with is new wing set to open before the end of 2016.

The concept of the store is to house different providers of indoor and outdoor furniture pieces, decorative items and other home, condo, restaurant or resort needs under one roof. Furniture City celebrated its first anniversar­y last September and saw the number of its exhibitors increase from twelve to eighteen, providing greater selections for potential buyers. Positioned as a one-stop-shop, the store currently carries more than twenty brands showcased in more than 27 booths.

Shopping is a pleasant experience at Furniture City since the setting is likened to a world-class furniture fair. The Furniture City is located at Hernan Cortes St., Mandaue City.

Brands currently housed at Furniture City include Mehitabel, for signature solid wood furniture and leather and rattan accent pieces; Murillo, with products made from indigenous materials such as abaca rope, rattan and woven lampakanay; Finali, for decorative items with the modern look from a combinatio­n of metal and indigenous materials; T-Mobeli, for customizat­ion of cabinetry; Macro, for locallymad­e commodity items such as sofa beds, metal beds and dining sets; Mandaue Foam, for foam and spring mattresses, linens and pillows; GLC Fine Living, with imported commodity items; Rain or Shine, for quality yet affordable indoor and outdoor furniture; Stonesets, with excellent wood furniture; Peba, for fiber-casted garden-type pieces such as fountains, planters, jars and decorative items; Tropical Souvenirs, for souvenir items of Philippine and European designs such as frames, lamps, jars and vases; Cymru, for the classic and modern wood furniture; Bon Ace, for shellinlay accessorie­s with vases, mirrors and consoles; HN Furniture, for fully upholstere­d sofas; Enpekei, with designers line accent pieces made of metal; Art n’ Nature, for natureinsp­ired souvenir items; Bright Lamps N’ Style, for modern, imported lamps, decors and Venetian blinds; Giardini Del Sole, for Italian-style wood furniture; and Uratex, for foam and spring mattresses, linens and pillows.

From the existing area of 2,392.55 square meters, the expansion will have an additional 1,403.16 sqm. (PR)
