Coco denies Angeline’s claim
Angeline Quinto recently said that she and Coco Martin had a “special relationship” that was nipped in the bud. When PEP and other media outlets asked the actor what he thought of this, he “Hindi ko naman kasi alam na ganun.” Ever the gentleman, he added, “Hindi kami nagkakausap, pero kung anuman
siguro ang purpose no’n, [ pagdating] sa part ko, nirerespeto ko na lang kasi, ako
bilang lalaki, di ka dapat pumatol, lalung-lalo na [ kapag] babae yung nagsasalita.
“And respeto ko na lang sa kanya kung ano man yung dahilan kung ba’t sinabi niya ‘yon o kung anuman yung purpose kung ba’t may ganung interview.” Angeline, according to PEP, said that the “understanding” became complicated and so it ended.
The singer and actress said that she felt that Coco became jealous after she was linked with Sam Sam Milby, ABS-CBN News online reported. Maybe Coco made her hope for something that was not there? “Ba’t
naman ganun? Actually, hindi ganun. Nagkatrabaho kasi kami and then mabait siya, siguro sabi ko hindi rin mahirap na mahulog ang loob mo sa kanya pero yung paasa, wala namang gano’n.” Coco and Angeline did the Born To Love You in 2012. Neither was the actor surprised that during promotions of a movie, his name gets linked with his leading lady. And after the movie debuts, the rumors also stop, PEP reported. But he said he doesn’t let it worry him because he knows he has not done something wrong.
So going back to the “special relationship” that ended before it could bloom, Coco said, “Magkaibigan kami, nagkatrabaho kami at mabuti siyang tao. Wala akong masasabi sa kanya. Ang natatandaan ko lang maganda ang experience ko sa kanya bilang katrabaho at mahal ko siya bilang kaibigan.”
