Alex still hopes to do movies with Viva

MANILA—Alex Gonzaga is still hopeful that she can still do a movie with Viva Films, months before her two-year contract with the film outfit expires.

The Enchanted Garden actress inked a three-picture contract with Viva in June 2011, but until now, the deal hasn’t been fulfilled yet. Alex said she understands if she hasn’t received a movie project to date because Viva is also managing many stars.

“Naintindihan ko naman po yun kasi hindi naman po talaga ako artista ng Viva. At least ngayon gagawin din ako and excited ako sa Lola Basyang,” she said.

The movie will be under TV5 and Unitel and is slated to be released this December in the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Alex said she felt disappointed and frustrated at first, but her parents and sister, Toni, said if the projects weren’t really for her, it won’t push through and big things will come her way.

“Siyempre nung una malulungkot ka kasi, pero hindi pa naman tapos yung duration ng kontrata kaya mag-aantay na lang po ako,” she said. “Kung ano man ang mangyari ay okay lang. Kung hindi naman talaga uukol, eh, hindi talaga bubukol yun ang sinabi sa akin ng aking ama.”

Alex is keen on finishing her twoyear contract with Viva and will ask her mother and manager, Mommy Pinty, on their next move.

Alex also gave her reaction on reports that her mom is “very meticulous” when it comes to choosing her movie projects. This is the reason why she hasn’t done any flick with Viva.

She said that whatever offer or project she received all of it was discussed to her by her mother. At the end of the day, both of them have to agree whether she will do it or not, she said.
