Camiguin Docufest records 403 government services availees
CAMIGUIN, Nov. 29 (PIA)--A total of 403 Camiguingnons availed the government services offered during the Docufest as part of the annual Lanzones Festival at the Ugmad Site, Cong. PPR Sports Complex, Balbagon, here.
Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-X Camiguin Provincial Field Office (Cam PFO) Chief Emmanuel G. Toledo collaborated with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Camiguin Federation (PCAF) on the said activity as part of the said week-long celebration.
Docufest is a one-stop shop of government frontline services, facilitated by DOLE-X, and was attended by the Pag-ibig Fund; Government Security Insurance System (GSIS); Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA); National Bureau of Investigation (NBI); Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA); Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA); Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA); Public Attorney’s Office (PAO); Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR); and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
The majority of these national government agencies do not hold office on the island, which speaks of determination, courage, and constancy of purpose towards the achievement of a one-government approach in service quality, Toledo said.
Moreover, a dance contest was spearheaded by DOLE-Cam PFO to its livelihood assistance beneficiaries. Winning associations include the Liong Womens Fisherfolk Association (first); Tangaro United Neighborhood Association (second); and Looc Balluster and Hollow Blocks Makers Association (third).
Toledo said the annual Docufest brought the government services conveniently closer to the people.
