Travel the world ‘AllDay’ through your palate

- TESSA PRIETO-VALDES

The pandemic and all its risks, dangers, restrictions and uncertainties took a heavy toll on everyone’s well-being. Not only were our physical health put in peril, our emotional and mental well-being took a solid beating as well.

Among the things I realized throughout the chaos of the past 19 months is that mindset is everything. We are going through what may be some of the toughest years of this lifetime but we need to remain as steadfast, and have an attitude that will attract happiness, grace and blessings.

One way to fight the gloom that this pandemic has been bringing upon us is by taking some time to delve into what sums up our happiness quotient. In doing so, we’d be able to help shake off the restlessness we’ve all been feeling while being marooned inside our homes.

For someone who counts traveling as among the things that gives her happiness, the travel restrictions dampened my spirits. But if there’s anything that the lockdowns taught us, it’s to be creative. So

I turned to reliving my travels through the many photos I have amassed prepandemic. Thank God for this digital age that we live in.

For my fellow travel junkies, another fun option to relive the memories of your past trips is through food. Especially if staying at home has turned you into quite the gourmet chef,

Whether it’s Bangkok’s tasty gaeng daeng and pad thai or Vietnam’s popular pho that you want to whip up straight from your kitchen, you can find all the ingredients that you need at AllDay Supermarket’s international aisle. you can try recreating your favorite dishes from your favorite countries. You’d be surprised how a taste of that satay dip or even a whiff of that Japanese-style soy sauce could magically transport you to

Bali or Tokyo.
