majority of destinations in Cebu Pacific’s domestic network are now open for leisure travel, including popular beach destinations, the publicly listed airline said on Friday.

In a statement, the Gokongwei family-controlled carrier said that, to date, 21 out of the 33 destinations are already accepting vacationing guests.

The list includes famous beach destinations such as Boracay, Bohol, Camiguin, Coron (point-to-point bubble tourism), Cebu, Dumaguete, Puerto Princesa (bound for El Nido and San Vicente only), and Siargao; along with destinations that boast of gastronomic adventures namely Clark, Manila and Roxas.

“We are happy to share this update with everyJuan as we see more destinations in our country safely open up their borders,” said Candice Iyog, vice president for marketing and cromer experience. “We firmly believe domestic tourism is the way to go—and we remain cautiously optimistic as we gradually ramp up our network to pave the way for domestic travel recovery.”

“We’ve said this before, and we want to say it again—making travel easier for the public will encourage them to fly during this time,” she added. Cebu Pacific has been rated 7/7 stars by airlineratings.com for its COVID-19 safety compliance as it continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety, in accordance with global aviation standards.
