PH champions to compete in the BMW Golf Cup International World Final in March
SOUTH Africa, here they come! Brand-new BMW owners Renato Alejandria, Arnel Racadio and Claire Ong will have the oppurtunity of their lifetime as they gained the right to represent the Philippines in the BMW Golf Cup International World Final 2017 on March 5-10, 2018 in South Africa’s breathtaking Fancourt Golf Resort.
Alejandria scored 56 modified Stableford points to pocket the Men I title in the exclusive BMW Golf Cup International National Final 2017, while Arnel Racadio scored a 59 to win the Men II plum.
Ong, pride of Manila Southwoods and National Tournament of Club titleholder, ruled the ladies championship with 52 points in the hugely- successful event last November at the Ayala Greenfield Golf and Leisure Club in Calamba, Laguna.
Wilson Guado submitted a 54, while Rupert Paul Manhit carded 51 points to finish second and third, respectively in Men I. Bonan Mendoza had a 53 to take second spot in Men II, while Marianne Bustos consoled herself with a second place finish in the ladies class with a 50.

BMW Philippines Marketing Director Karl Magsuci expressed confidence that the winners will savor the same delightful experience enjoyed by past Philippine representatives in the largest international tournament series for amateur golfers. ‘‘Our representatives will be able to relive the excitement savored by past winners of the BMW Philippines qualifiers,’’ stressed Magsuci.
No less than 100,000 amateur golfers from around the globe competed for slots in the BMW Golf Cup International since it began in 1995.
Thailand won the 2016 edition of the BMWGolf Cup International World Final at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai. BMW Philippines was represented by Men I champion Ceferino De Leon, Men II winner Robert Leung and ladies titleholder Jessalynn Tan.
Not only Alejandria, Racadio and Ong will enjoy the sheer driving pleasure of a BMW but they will be able to mingle with the topnotch talent from fellow BMWowners from not less than 50 countries, who hurdled their own national qualifiers.

According to the record, the Philippines won the prestigious title in 2002 at the El Dorado Golf and Beach Club in Mexico.
