BMW Philippines Marketing Director Karl Magsuci expressed confidence that the winners will savor the same delightful experience enjoyed by past Philippine representatives in the largest international tournament series for amateur golfers. ‘‘Our representatives will be able to relive the excitement savored by past winners of the BMW Philippines qualifiers,’’ stressed Magsuci.

No less than 100,000 amateur golfers from around the globe competed for slots in the BMW Golf Cup International since it began in 1995.

Thailand won the 2016 edition of the BMWGolf Cup International World Final at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai. BMW Philippines was represented by Men I champion Ceferino De Leon, Men II winner Robert Leung and ladies titleholder Jessalynn Tan.

Not only Alejandria, Racadio and Ong will enjoy the sheer driving pleasure of a BMW but they will be able to mingle with the topnotch talent from fellow BMWowners from not less than 50 countries, who hurdled their own national qualifiers.

Over the years, BMW has gained respect and popularity among amateur golfers by holding the World Final in various awe-inspiring and picturesque venues all around the world. The world’s leading professionals swing to fame and fortune at the very same golf courses where BMW-sponsored tournaments are being held. Royal treatment is being given to the representatives from the moment they arrive and until the moment they leave.

This year, the International Final will return to Fancourt, South Africa’s premier leisure resort. The 2015 and 2012 Finals were also hosted Fancourt which is situated in the heart of the Garden Route, seven kilometres from George Airport. The resort is superbly landscaped on 613 hectares of lush countryside with the majestic Outeniqua Mountains as the perfect backdrop. Since its transformation in 1989 into a premier golf resort, Fancourt has been providing extraordinary leisure experiences and is well suited to discerning travellers, avid golfers and families.

According to the record, the Philippines won the prestigious title in 2002 at the El Dorado Golf and Beach Club in Mexico.
