Barefoot Wines Host the First-Ever World Beach Rescue Day in the Philippines
For the first-time ever, the World Beach Rescue Day has reached Philippine shores.
The World Beach Rescue Day is a global event hosted by BAREFOOT Wines, cleaning beaches simultaneously in over 9 countries across the globe like the United States, UK and Hongkong, among others. The Surf Rider Foundation is the recipient of donations from Barefoot Wines wherein they receive US$1 for each social media post under the hash tag# world beach rescue day. Barefoot Wines will donate up to US$100,000 for the social media campaign this year.
Last June 25, hundreds of beach lovers came together at the shores of Crystal Beach Resort in San Narciso, Zambales to kick-off the global celebration. Each of the attendees stayed true to the Barefoot Wines' commitment of leaving only footprints behind by participating in the beach clean-up.
The event kicked-off at 12nn with a boodle fight serving local Filipino delicacies. Surfers, motorbike riders and other event goers feasted on local favorites while enjoying Barefoot Wines, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Moscato and Sauvignon Blanc. After the feast, Philippine country manager Rodne Galicha of The Climate Reality Project - a non-government organization founded by former US Vice President Al Goreshared about the realities of climate change and concrete steps on how we can protect the environment. Games followed and participants excitedly participated as they had the chance to win premium items from Barefoot Wines. The beach clean-up quickly followed after and participants eagerly picked up and segregated trash along the shore of Crystal Beach. After an activity-filled afternoon, Barefoot Wines hosted cocktails by the beach and event participants hung out in beach lounges under summer umbrellas along the shore.
