Seda BGC’s Straight Up Bar October offerings

SEDA BGC hotel’s Straight Up Bar is offering a shower of delights from food to entertainers this month of October. This stylish roof deck bar opens with a wine buffet at 4 p.m. which can be enjoyed up to 8 p.m. daily for only P800 net. Enjoy its signature “apericena,” a modern Italian trend designed as a prelude to dinner featuring aperitifs and a buffet of appetizers enjoyed in the company of friends. Guests will also love the international variety coupled with innovations such as Filipinostyle pizzas, Italian sushi and other surprises by executive chef Romualdo “Pepe” Castillo. The “apericena” buffet is free with any order of an alcoholic beverage or mocktail from 6 to 8 p.m. daily. For audal entertainment, Straight Up Bar features a mix of classic house and skillful remakes of familiar tunes, starting off with downtempo chill moving up to deep house and re- interpreted disco classics with Latin tinges. Enhancing the variety are “Theme Nights” with guest artists on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 11 p.m. and guest DJ’s on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. October’s guest artists include American Idol contestant and acoustic singer Monique De Los Santos on Oct. 15 and 29, and Theresa Garcia, with her repertoire of soul, contemporary jazz, bossa and old favorites on Oct. 22. Guest DJ’s liven up the beat on weekends. Joji Cayco spins on Oct. 10, Migs Santillan on Oct. 16, the legendary Boyet Sison on Oct. 23 and 31, and Manolet “DJ Papi” Santos on Oct. 17, 24 and 30. “Classic Fridays” highlight dance favorites of the ’70s to ’90s while Saturdays are “Lounge” nights.
