arino,

CHALLENGES are made when there is sudden change in the system that people are not quite comfortable with. And because of the pandemic we have to face the fact that we have to cope with the changes brought about by the new normal. And our education system really took a great beating when we talk about this changes. Because of the risk of getting infected, the Department of Education have made a decision to temporarily stop traditional learning and to require the students to stay inside of their homes. Because of this decision, modular distance learning was proven to be the most effective alternative to still bring education to the students without having to leave and go to school.

Modular distance l earning i s a method where different learning materials like modules are provided to the students and they need to answer it in a certain period of time, it does not only require the students to answer but it is also advised that the parents are able to participate in guiding and helping the students with the given learning materials. However, modular distance learning is not really going that smoothly as the people thought it could be and it had to go through such challenges.

During evaluation and assessment, it is seen that some activities and topics cannot be answered by the students and parents alone, thus it requires the knowledge and the proper discussion that the teacher has. And as observed, it is quite hard for the students to manage their time i n answering the modules especially when they try to answer activities that are quite hard. It is concluded that nothing can really beat the traditional face to face classes because it is proven to be more effective.
