Celebs take Valentine’s Day to whole new level

Celebritie­s often do outrageous things on birthdays, for award shows, or just on regular days.

During February, celebratio­ns for the love month, or "Araw ng mga Puso," can be excessive.

These celebritie­s didn't hesitate to shower their significan­t others with expensive or unique gifts during the most romantic time of the year.

Heart Evangelist­a and Sen. Chiz Escudero

Heart Evangelist­a, born on Valentine's Day, received a unique birthday gift from her husband, Chiz Escudero. Her husband gave her a Ferdie Cacnio sculpture of her face cast, used in her 2007 series "Hiram na Mukha." The gift left Heart Evangelist­a in awe.

Heart's Instagram post mentioned Chiz's impressive ability to locate the original cast of her face.

Sen. Manny and Jinkee Pacquiao

Jinkee Pacquiao wanted to make Valentine's Day 2010 special for her husband, Manny Pacquiao. In a TV interview, the vice governor of Sarangani revealed that she gave Manny a diamond-studded necklace with a pendant shaped like the letter M.

Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera

Dingdong Dantes surprised his wife, Marian Rivera, with a unique gift: a permit from the Department of Trade and Industry for her flower shop, Flora Vida.

Billy Crawford and Coleen García

2015 Billy Crawford gave Coleen Garcia an expensive Valentine's Day gift. Due to his fur allergy, the singer-host bought a hairless Sphynx cat from Russia and named her Anya. The reported cost of the cat was ₱200,000.

Khalil Ramos and Gabbi Garcia

Khalil Ramos surprised Gabbi Garcia with an enormous box of flowers before her flight to Switzerlan­d. Khalil expressed how proud and grateful he is for his girlfriend.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck celebrated their first Valentine's Day as a married couple by getting new tattoos. The actress and singer showed off her new tattoo, an infinity symbol with the names "Jennifer" and "Ben" written in cursive.

David and Victoria Beckham

Becoming one of the most influentia­l couples in entertainm­ent, Victoria and David Beckham frequently exchanged expensive gifts.

In 2006, David gifted Victoria an $8 million Bulgari necklace with diamonds and rubies for Valentine's Day. She wore it with a red gown at the Met Gala.

Beyonce and Jay-z

Rapper Jay-z gifted his wife Beyonce a $2,390 Tacori Promise bracelet in 2014 to express his love.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats

In February 2022, Swizz Beats gave Alicia Keys a custom-made 150-carat Nefertiti pendant inspired by the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti from the 18th century.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly

Machine Gun Kelly revealed on Instagram in February 2021 that he wears a glass vial necklace containing a drop of Megan Fox's blood as a symbol of their love.

"I wear your blood around my neck," the singer wrote with a close-up of the necklace in tribute to "my bloody Valentine," said Fox, to whom he got engaged in January 2022.
