energy savings. Daikin's VRV inverter model is designed for maximum capacity but will automatically adjust its usage according to temperature.

Aside from energy efficiency, Caburian said its VRV inverter technology is also good for the health and environment.

Daikin will also open two new regional sales offices in western Visayas and southern Luzon in the Bicol region to augment its existing five regional offices.

It will also launch new product lines. In fact, it has just launched its new VRV32 model. It will also expand its applied products business like the Daikin magnetic chiller for malls and airports.

Daikin’s after-sales division man- ager Augusto T. Quitco also said the company is set to enter the mainstream marketing for its products. Quitco said Daikin aircon units maybe carried by appliance stores in three months to reach more retail/residential custom- ers.

This means Daikin will be training more people to be able to install the split type aircon. It will cost between 4,000 to 5,000 for installation.

Quitco said that while one horse- power inverter split type Daikin unit can be 20 to 30 percent more expensive than the window type aircon, electricity expenses will be cheaper overtime given the proven energy savings of as much as 30 percent.
