Kathryn admits marriage a recurring topic
Kathryn Bernardo finally opened up regarding the wedding speculations between her and reel-turned-real life partner Daniel Padilla.
At the digital media conference of the love team’s latest project The House Arrest of Us, the 24-year-old actress disclosed that they’ve agreed to tie the knot before they turn 30-years-old. Daniel is 25.
“Pinag-uusapan naman namin ni DJ (Daniel’s nickname) na I think nasa tamang age na kami para i-ready mga sarili namin kapag dumating tayo sa punto na iyon. And now, iyon iyong dahilan kung bakit kami nagtatrabaho din (Para sa) lahat ng kailangan i-ready kasi, malaking step ‘yon. And pagdating noon, at least ready na kami at relax na lang (DJ and I have already been talking about it and I think we’re in the right age to prepare ourselves for whenever we get to that point. That’s why we’re working hard. (For) everything that needs to be prepared because that’s a big step. And when that time comes, at least we’ll be relaxed and ready),” she said.
Speculations about their engagement and wedding occurred when Mommy Min (Kathryn’s mom) and Karla Estrada (Daniel’s mom) posted a closeup photo of a wedding gown and a white wedding invitation, respectively, on Instagram with both captions having a wedding ring emoji between letters K and N.
Friends of the Kapamilya stars also posted wedding-related pictures on the same platform but the posts turned out to be publicly teasers of KathNiel’s current project.
KathNiel fans may have to hold on to their excitement as their favorite couple already stated that they plan on getting hitched in a few years — preferably a simple and intimate wedding by the beach. For now, they’ll have to get their dose of kilig from KathNiel’s The House Arrest of Us where the couple’s characters Korics (Daniel) and Q (Kathryn) find themselves locked in with both their families.
The series also stars Gardo Verzosa, Ruffa Gutierrez, Dennis Padilla, Herbert Bautista Arlene Muhlach, among other Kapamilya stars and, oh, making his debut is Kathryn and Daniel’s own dog Summer Ford.
