CITICORE Energy REIT Corporation (CREIT) garnered another international award as the company won the Best Investor Relations— Energy REIT for the Philippines in the recently concluded 11th International Finance Awards 2023 held in Bangkok, Thailand. The award was received on January 26, 2024.

Investor Relations (IR) proves crucial to any publicly listed organization as it provides the company with a sounding board to the financial community, regulatory bodies, and various stakeholders. An effective IR program typically reflects in the stock’s market activity, research coverage, and multi-media visibility.

CREIT’s IR program maintains a stakeholder focused approach, emphasizing a proactive communication strategy that ensures visibility to its stakeholders, shareholders, and the public.

“It is a privilege to receive international recognition for our Investor Relations program. This award not only emphasizes the level of service that CREIT upholds, but also highlights our passion to deliver our mission of a sustainable investment platform with a renewable energy asset portfolio which hedges on a commitment to work closely with our stakeholders and investors. This IR strategy has driven excellent value and delivered attractive returns while maintaining our sustainable footing,” said CREIT President and CEO Oliver Tan.

In recent years, IR has evolved significantly from a mere financial communication to a more wholistic perspective, zeroing in on a triple bottom line approach of economic, environmental, and social or Esg-focused platform to value creation. The company’s platform integrates renewable energy generation, agricultural production, and community development in its DNA, offering stable and sustainable income, while upholding the highest standards of corporate governance and sustainable practices in all its activities.

“CREIT’S value proposition, anchored on a strong ESG campaign, has worked to our advantage in terms of appealing to financial institutions and like-minded individuals. The company’s unique green asset portfolio, with total landholdings of almost 7.16 million square meters backed by long-term leases and 100 percent occupancy all year-round, has attracted ESG-focused investors supporting a sustainable investment platform with a solid renewable energy component,” explained CREIT Chairman Edgar Saavedra.

The company’s consistent and regular quarterly dividends to its shareholders in the two years since its listing has translated into CREIT as a constituent in the Philippine Stock Exchange’s PSE Dividend Yield Index since 06 February 2023 and Property Index since August 7, 2023.
