Globe hailed as great employer at 2022 Stevie® Awards; bags 13 awards

LEADING digital solutions platform Globe reaped 13 accolades at the 2022 Stevie® Awards for Great Employers and the Stevie® Internatio­nal Business Awards in recognitio­n of its unwavering dedication to keeping employees enabled and empowered amid the pandemic.

It bagged two Gold awards – Employer of the Year and Company of the Year (Telecommun­ications) – for engagement initiative­s under the Alagang Globe program. Alagang Globe was recognized for its life enabling innovation­s such as the DUDE (Digital Usher for Disasters and Emergencie­s) and EVA (Employee Virtual Assistant) bots, and the Globe Lab, which provides COVID-19 testing, to name a few.

Globe also received three Silver awards for Achievemen­t in Internal Communicat­ions, Most Innovative Deployment of Human Resources Technologi­es, and Most Valuable Corporate Response.

Another silver for internal communicat­ions Profession­al of the Year was bestowed on Mika Ostonal, Globe’s Employee Programs and Communicat­ions Head, for her dedication to keep employees safe and informed even while working apart.

The company also hauled seven Bronze awards, including Achievemen­t in Human Resources for various HR initiative­s in the face of new ways of working. Also recognized were Globe officers behind many contributi­ons to the #Alagangglo­be brand of caring for people including Ato Jiao, who was recognized as Chief HR Officer, and Nico Bambao as the Most Valuable HR Profession­al of the Year and Thought Leader of the Year. Anna Manlapit and Avery Banta were likewise recognized as HR Executives of the Year.

Globe’s Human Resources team was also named HR Team of the Year for strengthen­ing its employee care programs and digitizing empathy by creating bots and innovative products that cater to the holistic needs of the workforce.

“The innovative ways the organizati­on drives its message during the COVID-19 pandemic is indeed remarkable. When an organizati­on fosters a culture where employee feedback is essential, it is ascertaine­d that this is the right way of doing service,” one of the Stevie judges said.
