Seven die, 54 injured in fog-related accidents

LAHORE: At least three people died while 37 others sustained injuries including five children in fog-related separate road accidents across Punjab province today (Monday). Dense fog has engulfed the plain areas of Punjab which has resulted in disturbing the routine life of citizens whereas on the other hand, the thick fog has caused various road accidents in all over the Punjab.

As per details, a bus coming from Karachi to Lahore collided with another bus at Khanpur Road near Chak 78 PK, Rahim Yar Khan. The bus collision has claimed two lives and left 13 people injured. In another road accident, one person died and more than 20 people sustained injuries including five children due to the collision of two buses with trailer in Okara. Further, as many as four people along with one child lost their lives when a van rocked with the tractor trolley whereas the dense fog at Bannu Road became the cause of injuring four people including one woman. The accident took place when a truck struck the Suzuki van near Kohat University.

Earlier, at least two people have lost their lives in separate traffic accidents that took place due to dense fog in Lahore today (Wednesday), Dunya News reported. As per details, dense fog has blanketed the Lahore city due to which various road accidents have been reported. One biker died by the collision of truck near Jain Mandir.
